We are looking for a 3D Designer to join our BA Vita Team at Fiskars Group.
Reporting to the Product Design Manager, Vita you will be responsible for creating and developing successful design solutions for our Iconic brands under the direction of the respective brand Design lead.
Tasks:
- Proactively takes interest in the global market trends and categories, analysis of trend forecasting, creating innovative designs in accordance to brand direction.
- Creating design solutions suitable to handover for manufacturing.
- Ability to interface, following correct processes between manufacturing, NPD, sourcing departments.
- Creating initial design, hand sketches.
- Development of CAD visuals/renders of design concepts.
- Preparation for rapid prototyping.
- Developing content for costings and handover phases of development.
- Development of critique documents.
Skills needed:
- A relevant University Degree in Design.
- At least 5 + years of experience in working in a global design company, experience working in matrix.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly both internally and externally.
- A proven track record with an exceptional degree of creative ability balanced with technical knowledge across multiple categories incl. tableware, drinkware, cutlery and interior accessories.
- A background in designing across mixed materials including ceramics, crystal & glass, wood and metal.
- A collaborative, supportive and constructive working style.
- A proactive problem solver with the positive attitudinal qualities to manage all forms of challenges.
- High level of proficiency in Design related 2D & 3D CAD software to include Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Solidworks / Rhino & Keyshot.
