DESIGN ASSISTANT

You will be a part of ONLY’s lifestyle business unit called ONLY AHEAD, which consist of ONLY SHOES, TRAINING, ACCESSORIES, SWIMWEAR, ESSENTIALS, and LIVING & BEAUTY. The lifestyle area is in general expanding and therefore we want to strengthen our collections and manifest ourselves as an even stronger player on the European markets during the next five years.
You will be joining a dynamic and ambitious buying & design team with great potential. Together with the team, you will contribute to developing and buying our 8 yearly main collections. There will be great opportunities for both professional and personal development.

Commercial and trending designs
As design assistant you will get the opportunity to use your creative abilities when developing new styles, as well as ensuring that the collections correspond to the trends and meet the needs from our markets. Together with the rest of the team, you will collaborate to ensure that expression, fitting, and qualities are constantly optimised. You will be creating sketches and develop our collections to ensure a red threat throughout the different categories.
Your primary tasks will include:
- Contribute to the development of new collections
- Create sketches in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Prepare collections for sales meetings and presentations
- Participate in supplier visits and inspirational trips
- Create trend presentations, colour cards and collection overviews
- Ad hoc tasks
Qualifications
- Educated designer or design assistant
- Experience from a similar position within the fashion or lifestyle business
- Interest in and an eye for trends and fashion
- Experience with design programmes such as Illustrator, InDesign or Photoshop
- Comfortable with communicating in English, both written and spoken
