Designer Knitwear
Are you an experienced and creative designer with the ability to convert fast-moving trends into sustainable and commercial products with the goal of developing VERO MODA’s brand together with a dedicated Knitwear team?
We are looking for an experienced Designer, who can contribute to the continuous development of our Knitwear products for VERO MODA.
The team
You will join a group of dedicated buying- and design colleagues who are all part of VERO MODA’s knitwear team, characterised by a young and informal work environment with room for creativity and helpful colleagues. The role
You will be responsible for designing and developing our knitwear, which is a product group of great importance to VERO MODA's overall results. You play a natural part in the entire design process from idea to finished product. You get the opportunity to experiment with both qualities, fabrics, colours and details - in general go into depth and explore both delicate and commercial knitwear designs while working in a dynamic flow with several collections at the same time.
In collaboration with the rest of the team, you ensure that VERO MODA’s Knitwear products are constantly developed and optimized in relation to trend, speed and quality. You will work closely with our Category Manager on knitwear as well as designers and buyers, and you will have a wide range of contacts both internally in VERO MODA's organization and externally with our suppliers.
More specifically your tasks includes:
- Taking responsibility for the design process from start to finish
- Preparing trend material and drawings
- Presenting trends and styles at internal sales meetings
- Commenting on samples in collaboration buyers from the team
- Participating in inspirational trips, supplier visits and sales meetings
Your profile
You have a strong sense of finish – defining the details that makes the difference and you have great experience working with different qualities. You love to experiment and find new ways to develop your designs in a dynamic and creative environment where you manage to stay focused on both design and deadline. As you will work closely with buyers and other colleagues regarding the collections, it is crucial that you are able to communicate and collaborate across functions. Last but not least, initiative and independent decision-making are also a natural part of your way of working.
Qualifications
- Educational background as designer
- 2-3 years of experience as a designer from the fashion industry
- Product experience, preferably with knitwear but not a requirement
- Familiar with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
