Managing Director for Royal Arena

Royal Arena is a multi-functional indoor arena, with a capacity of more than 16,500 guests. The venue opened in February 2017 and is one of the premier entertainment venues in Scandinavia hosting; concerts, sports events, comedy, e-sport, tv shows and family entertainment. Royal Arena currently hosts between 65 and 80 events with up to 750.000 guests annually.

The role

The Managing Director will drive the overall strategy, governance, and daily operations at Royal Arena, deliver world-class experiences for fans, artists, clients, and partners through innovative and commercially viable solutions.

You will be leading a team of 22 full-time employees with functions as: administrative, technical, digital, hospitality, and F&B and 350+ part-time staff. Further you will be part of the senior leadership team at Live Nation Denmark at Frederiksberg.

The Managing Director will be responsible for:

  • Meeting business objectives and overseeing operations, ensuring the events diary is maximized and all contracted events are managed to the highest standard.
  • Maintain and develop strong client relationships, implement and evolve business strategies, and generate new opportunities for commercial success.
  • Key duties include budget management, forecasting, cost control, and maintaining venue standards.
  • Lead and develop staff, fostering a high-performing team.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, health and safety, and legal regulations, while managing all venue departments and building maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a General Manager, Managing Director, or Chief Operating Officer in a high-volume venue, events, or hospitality environment. Additionally, knowledge and respect for the operational impact of health and safety regulations are crucial.
