Audition: Viola Tutti - Croatian National Theatre
Full-time position with the Rijeka Symphony Orchestra of the Croatian National Theatre Ivan pl. Zajc in Rijeka, Croatia. The musician will perform in all Theatre performances and events (concerts, gala performances, humanitarian concerts, academic ceremonies, opera performances, etc.)

- Highest degree in the system of artistic education of the artist's country if educated outside of the Republic of Croatia
- Required professional or artistic field: Music Academy
- No prior work experience required.
- Working knowledge of the English language
- All artists must pass an audition prior to employment

Job description
Performs all tasks and duties described for “principal double bass of the opera orchestra” related to the status of orchestra soloist and leaders of the viola section, organizes and conducts sectional rehearsals as needed, performs in other Theatre’s performances and events (concerts, gala concerts, humanitarian concerts, gala academies and similar.).
Carries out other activities from her/his field of activity.
Application Criteria:
• Undergraduate or graduate university degree or integrated undergraduate or graduate university degree completed in the artistic field, as well as a higher education degree in the artistic field;
• Applicants educated abroad are required to hold the highest degree of education in the system of artistic education available in the applicant’s country of origin;
• Required professional or artistic field: Music Academy;
• Work experience: not required;
• Required knowledge of foreign languages: active knowledge of the English language;
• Specific requirement: passing the audition examination before employment.
In addition to a written application, the applicant must submit the following:
1. curriculum vitae,
2. copy of music academy diploma.
Applicants who fulfill the prescribed requirements and who have attached all the necessary documentation are required to audition pursuant to the Labour Law and Regulations on Audition Procedure for Theatre Artists, Members of the Opera Orchestra.

The applicants who fulfill the prescribed requirements will be invited to the audition which will be held in the Theatre building at the address of Verdijeva bb, in Rijeka. The exact time of the audition will be determined subsequently.
The Commission reserves the right to change the order or omit some pieces of music or passages during the audition itself.
The Employment Contract will be concluded for a four-year period with one year of trial work pursuant to the provisions of the Theatre Act (Official Gazette 71/06, 121/13, 26/14, 98/19), while if the applicant is a foreigner, the Contract will be concluded for a period that is in conformity with the provisions of the Aliens Act (Official Gazette 133/20).
Applicants to this Competition can be both male and female.
The applicant who is entitled on the right of advantage in employing according to the Article 103. of the Law on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and members of their families (Official Gazette 121/17, 98/19, 84/21) and Article 48. of the Law on civilan Homeland War victims (Official Gazette 84/21), is obliged to invoke this right in the application and has an advantage over other applicants only under equal conditions.
The applicant who invokes on the right of advantage in employing according to the Article 103. of the Law on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and members of their families (Official Gazette 121/17, 98/19, 84/21) and Article 48. of the Law on civilan Homeland War victims (Official Gazette 84/21), is obliged to submit all evidence referred to in the subject Articles.
