Copenhagen Phil have open positions for Double bass; Tutti.

The Audition will be held on April 1st 2022 from 10AM at DR Byen, ‘Studie 4’ Emil Holms Kanal 20, 0999 København K

REPERTOIRE
(All pieces to be played in orchestral tuning)

1st round:
Dittersdorf: Double Bass Concerto No.2 in E-flat major, Kr.172 with cadenzas (1st & 2nd movement)
Or
Vanhal: Double Bass Concerto in E-flat major with cadenzas (1st & 2nd movement)

Orchestral excerpts

2nd round:
Bottesini: Double Bass Concerto No.2 in B minor with cadenzas (1st & 2nd movement)
OR
Koussevitsky: Double Bass Concerto, Op.3 (1st & 2nd movement)

Candidates must be prepared to submit a ‘youtube link’ with the 1st round repertoire (recorded with or without piano accompaniment).

Orchestral excerpts will be sent out electronically approx. 5 weeks before the audition. An accompanist will be available at the audition. Applicants are responsible for expenses in connection with both travel and rehearsal.

Salary and conditions of employments negotiable with current agreement for musicians in the Danish Regional Orchestras (‘LandsdelsOrkestrene’). Employment of non-EU residents is contingent upon the attainment of a valid work and residence permit. Applicants are responsible for expenses incurred in the attainment of such permits.

Deadline for application: February 21st 2022 at 12:PM

February 25th 2022: All candidates will receive a result on the application and whether they have been invited directly to the 1st round or must send a ‘youtube link’ with the 1st round repertoire. All invited applicants will also receive the orchestral excerpts

March 7th 2022 at 12PM deadline for the candidates that were asked to make a video

March 11th 2022 ‘youtube link’ candidates will be informed if they have been invited to the 1st round.
