Violin, Copenhagen Phil - Academy

The newly formed Academy of the Copenhagen Phil has open positions from the Season 2022/23! The academy supports young and talented musicians from the EU to achieve their highest musical level and in securing positions with the world’s best orchestras. In addition to performing with the orchestra for up to 15 projects in a season, under the baton of world-renowned conductors, the two-year programme offers private intensive lessons from mentors from the orchestra, regular chamber music concerts, workshops with internal as well as external mentors, mental coaching and mock-auditions, thereby preparing the academics systematically in the tradition of the orchestral life in Denmark and abroad.

Orchestral Excerpts (all 1.Violin parts)
Brahms: Symphony Nr.4, Movement 2, bars 88 – F
Strauss: Don Juan: Beginning until first beat of bar 13
Mendelssohn: Midsummer Night’s Dream: Scherzo: Bars 17 – 99

Scholarship: 10.500 DKK / Month (Brutto)
Maximum length of contract: 2 years
Travel and accommodation expenses for auditions cannot be reimbursed.
Maximum age by October 1: 29

Qualifications and Documents:
Bachelors or other comparable level of education
EU Citizenship
