Audition repertoire:
- Mozart: Violin Concerto Nr 3 (G Major), Nr 4 (D Major) or Nr 5 (A Major): 1 st movement with cadenza
- Work of the applicant’s own choice
- Orchestral and chamber music assignments to be announced after the closing date for applications
Auditions and application period:
1. The auditions will be held at the Helsinki Music Centre on 26 and 27 March 2026 from 9:15 onwards.
2. The deadline for applications is at 23.59 Finnish time on 1 February 2026.
The audition invitation, as well as a list of the orchestral and chamber music repertoire will be sent by email to the chosen candidates after the closing date for applications.
Preliminary selection:
Applicants will be selected for audition on the basis of their application documents and the video recording.
The document can only be sent in Finnish, Swedish or English.
The applicant must include in their application a CV detailing previous work experience (specifying each orchestra, position, duration and type of employment), education, and other factors that may influence the selection.
It is also recommended that the applicant include a video link of their playing (of music of their free choice) into the application.
Instructions for the voluntary video recording:
- The video recording must be made with a single camera positioned in front of the player, ensuring that both the player and the instrument are visible at all times. Post-processing of the sound and/or image is prohibited.
- Both works must be recorded consecutively in one continuous take. The order of performance is free.
- The recording should aim for the highest possible sound and visual quality. However, the technical quality of the video itself does not affect the selection.
- The recording must not be sent as an attachment. Instead, it should be uploaded to a web service (e.g., YouTube) where it can be viewed, and it must be accessible without a password. The link should be provided in the designated section of the application form.

The job-specific monthly salary for the position is €3 722,92 (with 5-year professional orchestra experience supplement €3 892,91). There is also dress and instrument allowance.
